Definately have your extra protein serve until your BMI is under 40. If you don't, your body will break down muscle mass rather than fat for fuel and you may weigh less, but you would not look lean. People with a BMI over 40 actually have a high amount of muscle mass, and you definately want to keep this as it keeps your metabolism going and burns fat just by existing! Plus, you get to eat more so eat up
