What other diets have you tried?

  • I'm just curious because TF is the only dieting program I've ever tried. I'm doing a 7 day detox right now with the aim of going back to TF once I'm done.

But there are so many diets I've heard of (weight watchers, lite n easy, sure slim) blah blah blah... The list goes on forever! And really I'm just curious because I'm guessing that there are quite a few people who've been on different diets before settling for TF. So what have you been on, and did it work for you or did it do nothing?

And how much money have you spent on wasted diets/exercise programs? For example I think over the years I've spent about $500 on gym memberships and exercise equipment solely with the goal of loosing weight and NONE of it made a difference! I know have a $3000 treadmill which I was using every day like a fiend until I found out that it was stalling my weightloss.
Now I'm waiting until I get to 80kg to start again and only doing a light walk for 20 minutes or so every couple of days until then.

I've probably spent about $700 on dieting pills and potions as well, hoping to magically loose weight with no effort. Ha! Like they ever work. Even Duromine didn't work for long for me because my body adapted and it stopped working for me lol. But I'm curious, and I guess I just want to know whether other people get suckered as easily as I was at times, or whether it's just me rofl.

Well I have been on so many diets...not all by choice....when mum was a diet us kids were on the diet too. From Cabbage Soup to Liver Cleansing....the list goes on.

See below on comments on some of the diets:

Liver Cleansing - Super expensive, as you need to buy alot of expensive ingredients, felt really good, but it was restrictive and I didnt last very long on it and didnt lose any weight on it.

    Cabbage Soup - Enough said...lasted 2 days.

Kickstart Diet - Really easy, cheap to make. i OD'd on tomatoes and couldnt eat them for months afterwards.

Lite N Easy - Expensive and didnt lose weight. Was convenient though.

Atkins Diet - Lost 20kg in 7 weeks!! Kinda expensive, but being a carnivore I looooved it!! Bacon n eggs for brekkie, chicken avacado salad for lunch, dinners consisted of massive steaks, sausages, fried mushrooms....and munched on cheese in between....it was so easy to sustain and I was never hungry. I did have veggies too, but they were low carb. Kinda like the ones on TF. The only downfall were the ketone smell and they were very strong...and I read that going into deep ketosis can be bad. But my doc monitored and my cholesterol and high blood pressure didnt rise surprisingly.

In all honesty I havent been on TF long enough to make judgement to see whether it will work for me. I am trialling it for a few months..if I notice results then I will keep at it. I am on TF more for the convenience side of things..I am at home with a toddler and am always making the wrong food choices so TF I dont have to use my brain much. Plus I feel good on the inside which hopefully my outside will benefit.

I have also used diet pills such as Duromine which didnt help, fat Blaster which did, and another one which is now banned from Australia as it had herbs in it which gave an effect like speed apparently and they were amazing pills but very dangerous.
