I would suggest you check out a few of the body building forums to get an idea on the amounts you need to eat to build muscle (and the protein intake required, as you want to keep your muscle growth going). I personally don't think that 800 calories is anywhere near enough for a 6'4" man that is currently 126kg. Ketosis is a wonderful tool and YOU with your build, can actually eat about about 4 times that amount of calories (in good food) and still have really good losses that would be maintainable.
Good luck with your weight loss goals
Well after some reading i decided to get some ketone strips from the chemist, and I'll monitor the effects my carb vegies and exercising on the weekend has. I'll keep you lot posted if you like. My reading today was medium Ketosis (4 mmol/l) from memory.
Which is good news I think :-) As long as my body keeps burning fat and doesn't go too low I'll be happy.
At the moment it feels like im losing weight as I drink more water, which i guess is true. Flushing out fat :-)
12kg down hopefully 10-15 more. but I can already see my abs again wohoo
12kg loss, that great, keep up the good work and keep us posted
So I got stuck into Baked chicken, Tuna salad, Vegies (Broccoli and peas/corn) and fruit for the weekend.. and some cashews. on friday morning was 123.8 kg. Went up a kg or 2 with that food in my belly. The Ketone strips were reading some ketones on Saturday, but had no glucose or ketones by sunday night (Tonight) I'll wait and see how long eating on the weekend pushes back ketosis, and how long before im back to that 123.8 kg. Then take it down to 120.
Looks like I should Carb load a little less on the weekend, even though it was all good carbs.
Well no response from TF staff yet, but I managed a bit above 120kg this cycle, I increased the cycle length because carb loading (with good carbs) was stopping ketosis for far too long. I did this again, but I think I may change to protein loading and cancelling the carb loading technique that body builders tend to worship.
Still I think overeating on good food once every 8-10 days changes things up for the metabolism.
Now I'm hoping to be in ketosis by wednesday again
I don't know if this is correct, just an opinion, but I doubt you will hear back from TF staff on an issue that is not related to TF Programme (being that you're not on the plan).800cals seems very low for your height, but hey, if it's working and you're happy - well done :O)
